What You’ll Be Doing

· Provide financial oversight for assigned projects from inception through completion

· Prepare, monitor, and report on project budgets

· Track and analyze project costs, identifying budget variances and trends

· Partner closely with Project Managers, clients, and internal teams to support financial decisions

· Review invoices tied to project milestones or time-and-materials billing

· Ensure accurate, timely customer billing

· Monitor compliance with contracts, subcontracts, change orders, COIs, certified payroll, and scope requirements

· Identify and communicate financial risks to Project Managers and the Controller

· Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

· Assist with audit and tax support, including documentation and reporting

· Help document and strengthen business processes and internal controls

 

What We’re Looking For

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent (CPA a plus)

· 2+ years of accounting experience (operations and/or audit)

· Cost or project accounting experience strongly preferred

· Solid understanding of financial statements and GL accounting

· Experience with month-end and year-end close processes

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

· Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
